The 2018 model of the Ford Mustang might not have the options of a V6 engine. It will however come with an automatic transmission of 10-speed as well as MagneRide suspension found in the recent Shelby GT350. The GT350 and GT350R will still be available keeping in mind the needs of those who desire a better-handling pony car.
Though no official news has arrived about the 2018 models yet, a member of Mustang6g.com has unearthed that certain new colours are about to emerge. This news is based on the digging done by the person in the Ford Motor Company dealership computer system to which the person has an access. It also has listed the 10-speed automatic as well as the MagneRide suspension setup and will be applicable for the EcoBoost as well as the GT Mustangs
Further, the person has reported that body codes for the present Ford Mustang powered by the V6 engine was deemed as invalid in case of the 2018 model. This has helped in shaping the idea that the V6 engine will become obsolete for 2018.
The employee further discovered that the the 10-speed automatic feature in the upcoming Ford Mustang will most probably available in both EcoBoost and GT trim. Thus the new gearbox will be beneficial to the turbocharged 2.3L 4-cylinder as well as the 5.0L V8.
The replacement of the present 6-speed automatic with the 10-speed will make the upcoming Mustang much better in terms of performance and should also increase accelerations for low end and mid-range variants.
MagneRide dampers play a major role in making the new Shelby GT350 and GT350R perform incredibly on roads. This feature will also be present in the 2018 Ford Mustang EcoBoost and GT.
The current Mustang has been an instant success for the American automaker. The facelifted Mustang 2018 will be unveiled sometime in 2017, and will eventually make their way globally by the second half of 2017.
