Ford's EcoSport has been a successful car in many respects, but off-late, it is losing the charm it created during the initial year of its launch. To keep afloat the compact SUV sales, Ford has launched a Vehicle Personalisation Centre in India, where the new EcoSport buyers can customize their compact SUV according to respective taste.
To begin with, the Vehicle Personalisation Centre will offer three customization options on the Ford EcoSport.
- Spare Wheel (Cover) Pack - EcoSport variants
- Alloys Pack that offers premium quality alloys and rear-spoiler - EcoSport’s Ambiente and Trend trims
- Sports Pack that includes rear-spoiler, LED scuff plate, roof cross-bar - EcoSport’s Titanium and Titanium (O) trims
Speaking about the new centre, Cooper said, “Customers today view vehicles as an extension of their own personalities and are keen to customize their cars to stand out from the clutter. Our customers today are socially conscious who don’t compromise and want things done their way. They desire for enhanced levels of personalisation to make vehicles look distinctly theirs. Adding to the overall brand ownership experience, we will provide customers peace of mind through premium quality customization options that they can trust without compromising on safety, quality or vehicle warranties.
Manufactured over 35000 square feet, the facility is located near the Ford India’s Chennai factory. The center was inaugurated by John Cooper, Vice President, Customer Service Division, Ford Asia Pacific and Nigel Harris, President, Ford India. The centre will be equipped with 19 modification bays operated by Ford’s trained technicians. Ford is planning to expand the customization level with more cars later this year.
