“Created specifically for customers in India, the Figo Aspire is a no-compromise compact sedan that will delight Indian customers with its stunning design, smart technology, advanced safety and impressive fuel efficiency,” said Anurag Mehrotra, executive director, marketing, sales and service, Ford India. For those asking, the Figo Aspire will be offered in 7 all-new colours - Ruby Red, Sparkling Gold, Oxford White, Tuxedo Black, Deep Impact Blue, Ingot Silver and Smoke Grey. As for safety, the Figo Aspire will be the first compact sedan in India to offer driver and passenger airbags standard across all variants. It is also the first sub-4-meter sedan to offer side and curtain airbags for an extra level of protection.

Ford Figo Aspire would come loaded with several first-in-segment features such as MyFord Dock, which allows drivers to store, mount and charge mobile phones, MP3 players and satellite navigation systems, and to integrate these devices into the car’s entertainment system. In addition, a new feature called Ford MyKey would be introduced with Figo Aspire which permits the owners to program keys with restricted driving modes. The owner can limit the top speed of the car, set the audio volume to a certain level, and even set the seatbelt reminder.

Mechanically, the Figo Aspire would be available in both petrol and diesel fuel trims, as told before. The diesel variants would be powered by the 1.5L, 4-cylinder TDCi engine, generating a maximum power of 98.5bhp and returning a fuel efficiency of 25.8kmpl (ARAI Certified). It would be coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission. As for petrol fuel trim, there would be two engines available: a new 1.2L, 4-cylinder Ti-VCT engine and a 1.5L, 4-cylinder TiVCT engine. The former would churn out a top power of 87bhp and an ARAI Certified mileage of 18.2kmpl. It would come with a 5-speed manual gearbox. On the other hand, the heavier and powerful 1.5L TiVCT petrol engine would belt out 110bhp, while paired with a 6-speed PowerShift automatic transmission. It would deliver a fuel economy of 17.2 kmpl (ARAI Certified).
