The official website of the Mahindra Nuvosport has gone live, while the Mahindra Quanto’s replacement the NuvoSport is due for launch in India on April 4. The website features a countdown timer to the launch date. Finally, Mahindra made major changes and is planning to launch its all new “Nuvosport”. Mahindra NuvoSport, which is likely to be slotted between the KUV100 and TUV300, will compete with the likes of Ford EcoSport and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
The exterior of the NuvoSport features all new front fascia with a new grille flanked by headlamps, separate LED DRLs above the headlamps, a bulge out bonnet with hood scoop for air intake, stylish front bumper with round fog lamps, and a silver skid plate. On the side, the NuvoSport gets black plastic body cladding while the rear end features clear lens taillights, roof spoiler and new spare wheel cover.
The Mahindra NuvoSport will be offered in a 5+2 seater configuration that includes two small jump seats located at the rear. It features an updated steering wheel, a 2-DIN music system with a touchscreen display for top-end grades, instrument dials, cruise control, eight-way adjustable seats with lumbar support which are first in its segment. The range topping variant N8 grade will feature an interior that has dual-tone black and beige leather seats and a beige dashboard.
Though the engine spec has not been confirmed, but under the hood we are expecting to have the 1.5-litre mHawk diesel engine that will produce a maximum of 84 PS paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or an AMT gearbox. Though, a petrol variant is also expected to be launched but on the later stages.
