Earlier, we informed you about some of the plans of Maruti Suzuki at the Auto Expo 2018 and now the homegrown car manufacturer has officially announced that it will showcase Concept FutureS, Concept e-Survivor, Next-generation Hybrid Technology and all-new third generation Swift. The Maruti Suzuki pavilion will be built on ‘Transformation’ theme with a spread area of 4200 sqmt. Apart from this, the company will display over 18 vehicle models on display in ARENA, NEXA and Motorsports zones.
Maruti Suzuki has taken a lead in the compact-SUV segment and after that the brand is all set to redefine the way compact cars are designed in India with #ConceptFutureS. With an all-new design language for compact cars, #ConceptFutureS will be a show-stopper at the 2018 Auto Expo. The concept has been designed in-house by Maruti Suzuki designers and will depict next level of "design evolution” in terms of design proportions, body sculpting and stimulating fusion of bold patterns and superior accent colours has been achieved through the #ConceptFutureS".
Maruti Suzuki will showcase its first Concept Electric vehicle, the e-SURVIVOR that will mark for the company’s commitment to launch an electric vehicle in India in 2020 and will help develop the entire life-cycle of EVs in the country including the local manufacturing of components, charging infrastructure and recycling of batteries. This design study model for a compact SUV that pays tribute to Suzuki’s proud 4WD heritage. Concept e-SURVIVOR made its first debut at the 2017 Japan Motor Show and brings together many new technologies that depict the new and exciting F.A.C.E of Suzuki’s intent for Future Mobility. (Four-wheel Drive, Autonomous, Connected & Electric).
Next-generation Hybrid Technology
Maruti Showcase will also display a working model of its next generation Suzuki Hybrid system (HEV) that powers Suzuki’s Solio and Swift cars manufactured and sold in Japan. The engine is highly efficient with less emission and also offers the capability of pure electric drive. In evolving clean solutions for India, Maruti Suzuki will work on a portfolio of xEV technologies to accelerate electrification of powertrains in India, symbolizing a critical part of the clean solution.
Recently unveiled the Swift hatchback will be the show-stopper of the 2018 Auto Expo at Maruti Suzuki’s pavilion. The new hatchback will also make its official launch at the Auto Expo. Built on the innovative 5th generation HEARTECT platform, the new Swift will be spacious and lighter than its predecessor.
