Nissan India has now officially confirmed the launch of much anticipated Terrano in the Indian market tomorrow, i.e. October 9. The vehicle will be launched at an event in Chennai, as the company's plant is located nearby. Since the car has already been unveiled and official media drives too happened, so there is nothing hidden except the pricing.
Based on the hugely popular Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano shares all its parts with the former, though it has a different design, especially the front fascia and rear. Front fascia is the one area that sets it apart from the Duster; it features a revised bumper, honeycomb grille, new headlights, a big Nissan badge and a few more changes. The front of the car resembles to the company's flagship SUV X-Trail.
There are considerable changes at the rear as well, and most noticeable is the split rear light layout with some part of the lamps given on the bootlid. However, if you look at the side profile of the car, it looks almost unchanged.
Engine options to be offered in the car too have been carried straight from the Duster. The Terrano too will be offered in both petrol (1.6-litre) and diesel engine (1.5-litre) options, with later having two power output options- 85PS and 110PS, just like the Duster.
