Official: Tata Safari VX Launched at Rs. 13.25 Lakhs

Tata Motors has officially launched a new variant of Safari Storme in the country. The new variant - Tata Safari Storme VX - is offered in both 4×2 and 4×4 drives, while priced at Rs. 13.25 Lakhs and Rs. 14.59 Lakhs (Both Ex. Showroom, New Delhi), respectively. The new variant is more powerful, while boasting of several exquisite features.

The Safari Storme VX features Tata Motors new integrated CONNECTNEXT system with 6-speaker surround sound by Harman, all routed to the company's new signature steering wheel. Designed with 3 spokes, the new steering wheel, boasts smart control features and an ergonomic grip. The new CONNECTNEXT system has contemporary features like – Speed Dependent Volume Control, Bluetooth Hands Free, with CD/MP3/Radio/Aux/USB and iPod connectivity, Phone Book Download, Audio Streaming and a Reverse Parking Sensor Display. As for safety, the Safari Storme VX comes loaded with dual SRS airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) & EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution).

Under the hood, the Safari Storme VX has the turbocharged VTT VARICOR 400 engine, which develops a maximum power of 154bhp and peak torque of 400Nm. The engine is linked to a new 6-speed manual gearbox. It does a 0-100kmph sprint in less than 13 seconds, while returning an impressive fuel economy of 13.9kmpl (ARAI Specified). The 4X4 variant also features ESOF (electronic shift-on-fly) technology, enabling engagement of the 4X4 or 4X2 mode on the move.
