There is an ocean of change in the attitude of car drivers, they not only want fuel efficiency, sleeker designs, but also demand 24 hours connectivity while driving. Everyone knows connectivity has become a priority for the generation which has come of age on internet, blue tooth phones, tablets and digital music system. They need to be connected all the time even when driving a car. Keeping in mind the needs to the present day generation Opel has come up with a concept car called ‘Monza Concept’ which carries forward the concepts of both connectivity and efficiency. They are going to unveil this concept model in the Motor Show at Frankfurt which is going to be held sometime in Septmber.
A chief exectutive from the manufacturers has shed further light on the two distinctive qualities which the company will adopt for its future models as well. He says the concept car will be the first model which will influence the manufacture of other Vauxhall and Opel vehicles. He emphasized the fuel efficiency is attained through design of the model, materials which are used and in the entire new way aerodynamics are used to make this concept car lighter, and more powerful. The model comes with a new design for the bonnet and head lamps as well as the designers have tried to impart to this model a 3 dimensional appearance to the model by extending the bar which carries the emblem on the grill towards the front bonnet.The band ends in wingtips. The concept car also has the state of art infortainment system as well.
The concept car is made on the model of the first car produced by the car manufacturers. It was called ‘Monza/Royal’ and had a digital dashboard display which was a novelty at the time when the car was introduced in the market. The concept car follows the same trend of introducing innovative connectivity along with efficiency in the same model.
