Pagani has officially revealed the Huayra BC and the name “BC” represents the initials of Benny Caiola, a person who has greatly inspired Horacio Pagani over the years. Benny was so impressed by the passion and technology of the cars Horacio was designing from the very beginning, he made history as the first customer to buy a Pagani Automobile.
Pagani’s engineer has mainly focused on shedding off the weight from the Huayra Benny Caiola making it 132 kg lighter weighing a total of 1218 kg. The weight reduction has been made in some of the parts including a new Forged APP wheels, which are 9 kg lighter, while the sports exhaust is substantially lighter compared to the system used on the Huayra coupe. The Huayra BC gets bespoke suspension system which is specially developed from forged from HiForg, a lightweight aeronautic aluminium alloy of exceptionally high strength.
The Huayra BC is the most technologically advanced Huayra Coupé yet, introducing innovative technical solutions which will be applied in the Pagani cars of the future. The Huayra BC will derive its power from a Mercedes-Benz AMG’s 6.0-litre Bi-turbo V12 that dishes out 789 HP @ 6200 rpm and a torque of 1000 Nm @ 4000 rpm. The motor is paired with a completely new developed 7-speed (plus reverse) Automated Manual Transmission with electronic mechanical differential.
Pagani has not revealed the performance details of the Huayra BC, but it will be definitely quite faster than the standard Huayra which accelerates from 0-100 in just 3.3 seconds. Pagani plans to produce only 20 units of the BC, where all of them have been sold at € 2.3 million in a blink of an eye.
The 2016 Pagani Huayra BC will will make its debut in public at the Geneva Motor Show which starts on March 1.
