It doesn't really surprise us that Honda might be planning a lower spec entry level 150/160cc model to take on the likes of the Discover 150S! Our friends at GaadiWaadi have got their hands on the patent images of what seems to be a Honda motorcycle in the cc range of 150/160 and looking at the pictures it is evident that this, if and when launched will be an all new entry level 150cc motorcycle in Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India's portfolio.

One look at the bike and it  is evident that it resembles the old Unicorn and gets ample donations from the Honda's parts bin where the headlamp, bikini fairing and tank shroud designs alongwith the sculpted fuel tank, all have a similar feel to it. The model shown in the Patent filling also gets a front disc, multispoke alloy wheels, conventional long-ish exhaust pipe, rear drum brake and traditional twin shock absorbers mounted on the swingarm at the rear. The patent also showcases a contoured seat design signalling towards a rather laid back comfortable city power commuter.

This model seems to be targeting a position below the CB Unicorn 160 and the recently launched CB Hornet 160R and should fight against the Discover range from Bajaj.

Stay tuned as we bring more news on the same!
