Volkswagen India that launched the performance oriented Polo GT TSI and GT TDI in the Indian market recently, is now all set to launch its flagship sedan Vento with the same 1.2-litre turbo petrol mill. Though in the case of Vento, the company will not use the GT badging, it will be called the Vento TSI.
Powering the vehicle will be the same 1.2-litre direct injection turbocharged petrol mill, which also does its duty to the VW Polo GT TSI. Mated to the same seven-speed DSG gearbox, this engine puts an impressive 103bhp along with 175Nm of peak torque.
The VW Vento TSI is likely to be made available in the Highline trims, so features like ABS, Airbags, and Integrated Music System with Bluetooth will be all there. Moreover, features like Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Hill hold will be offered with the TSI variant.
While in the case of Polo, the company discontinued 1.6-litre petrol model, both the 1.6-litre manual & Automatic will be sold alongside the all new Vento GT TSI. Although the company hasn't announced the official pricing of the vehicle, there are media reports claiming it to be a little over 10 lakh.
