The 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show is right around the block, and automobile manufacturers are doing their concluding provisions to make this year’s show an unforgettable one. Peugeot the French car creator has officially announced its fleet of cars that will be showcased at the show. The fleet includes the new Peugeot 208, and also a debutante the Concept 308 R along with it. Other cars in the lineup consist of the 208 T16 Pikes Peak Car, the BlueHDi variants, newly developed hybrids, and the 208 GTi who is a class winner of the Nurburgring 24 hour endurance race.
Peugeot 308: this hot hatch will be the French creator’s show-stopper in the Motor Show. Not just that the company will display 9 exemplars of the 308 5-door model for the guests to see. The 308 is constructed around the brand-new EMP2 (efficient modular platform 2) structural design, which has resulted in the car becoming the lightest in its segment. Not only the body, the interior is also technologically advanced with features like, a compact steering wheel, Peugeot i-Cockpit, an inconspicuous design derived from the Concept SR1, 9.7 inch touchscreen display, raised IP and a lofty center console.
Peugeot 308 R Concept: this will be the fist time the world will get to see this deep-seated sports car. The 308 R Concept is a twist of uniqueness and stylic limpidness. This brand new Concept will have 19 inch alloys, tone-tone carbon fiber skin, which covers the 1.6 liter 4-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of producing a maximum power of 270 BHP. The Torsen TM differential with gigantic brakes will deliver the power to the front wheels using a front-wheel drive transmission.
The BlueHDi blocks: as the name says, this engine design is eco-friendly, it uses an internal combustion engine coupled with an electric motor. Added features like start&stop technology improves efficiency as well. This technology has already been added to the new 308 and 508 SW Concepts, which helps those cars to reduce the CO2 emissions. This locomotive technology complies with diesel standards of Euro 6 an will be affixed to all the diesel running Peugeot cars by the end of 2013.
