This was the first time when an event like this had a special category for quads. The event took place on May 31 and June 1, 2014 and had 150 participants. The Polaris rider, Mr. Raj Singh Rathore, who has been doing miracles in rallies like Raid De Himalaya and Desert Storm made sure that Polaris just does not win in its category, but also over any other vehicle. He was riding the RZR XP 900 model of the ATV manufacturer. The ATV is powered by a 875cc, twin-cylinder engine that produces 88 bhp at the crank that can be used on all the four wheels or just two. Polaris won the '4x4 without roll cage' category and was second in the '4x4 with roll cage' category.

Talking about Polaris's performance at the event, Mr. Pankaj Dubey, Managing Director - Polaris India Pvt. Ltd. said, "Year after year, Polaris India has proved its dominance when its toughness and endurance quotient are tested in rallies and races. This victory in Meerut Autocross & Motocross 2014 is yet another testimony of the capabilities of our vehicles across a range of terrains. The rally was all about testing not only the participants’ ingenuity, physical and mental toughness, but also the vehicles’ capabilities of endurance and performance. The Polaris RZR XP 900 has once again lived up to Polaris India’s long-standing reputation of performance in toughness, which is a hallmark of all Polaris models.”

“I also extend a big Thank You to the encouraging spectators at the rally who cheered along our award-winning rider, Mr. Raj Singh Rathore,” he added.
