The German automobile manufacturer Volkswagen released  the New Polo GT TDI on September 13. The car is a powerful diesel hatchback which is engineered to produce brilliant performance with optimized mileage. The price of the Polo GT TDI is kept at Rs. 8.08 Lakhs in the showrooms of Delhi. By developing Polo GT TDI the company has made its efforts to bring out an efficient vehicle in the market. The car is manufactured with the intentions to suffice the customers who require both performance and fuel efficiency in their vehicles.

The Polo GT TDI is powered by a TDI 1.6 Liter 16V 1598 CC diesel engine. The 4 cylinder TDI produces a power of 103 BHP at the rate of 4400 RPM and it generates a Torque of 250 NM between 1500-2500 RPM. It uses a CRDI fuel supply system that increases the mileage. The car provides a mileage of 13.3 Km per liter in city and 19.7 Km per liter on the highway, according to the ARAI certification. The fuel tank capacity of the car is 45 Liters.

All the variants of Polo GT TDI have the similar body design. The only change in the new model launched is the TDI badging and GT badging on boot lid and the radiator grille. The front of the car has an aggressive stance with the powerful headlights that supplements the bolder components. In the central portion, the car has a radiator grille with coated chrome, that is attached with company logo and GT badging. The bumper of the car is designed with large punched air vents and fog lights. The wheel arches of the car expresses the muscular design of the vehicle. Overall, only cosmetic updates are done to the car compared to the previous versions.

The Indian automobile market has always supported the fuel efficient cars. But the company has considered both the performance and fuel efficiency together and have tried to balance them to gain an efficient car.
