Porsche is testing the facelifted 911 sportscar for quite-a-some time now, but under full camouflage. But for the very first time, the undisguised Porsche 911 has been caught testing. The 911 caught testing is a 991.2 prototype that's undergoing final phase of testing. Porsche signalled the demise of the 991.1 version with a Black edition recently.
The prototype looks quite similar to the 911 model on sale worldwide, until one gives a closer look at the iconic sportscar. On closer look, the changes to the front and rear bumpers are visible. Porsche has provided new LED daylight running lights and different graphics to the headlights and taillights. The dual exhaust tips are more centre mounted to the rear bumper.
The next-generation Porsche 911 will be more powerful than the outgoing model and will produce power in excess of 600 BHP. The Porsche range will become all-turbo except the 911 GT3 and the 911 GT3 RS. And for the 911 Carrerra, Porsche will equip the car with a newly developed 2.5-litre 6-cylinder turbo unit and Carrerra S with biiger 3.5-litre turbo unit.
Porsche will most likely debut the new range of the 911 sportscar at the Frankfurt Motorshow slated to happen in September. Price will be revised too, but with a negligible hike on the current generation model.
