Talking about the 911 Targa, it flaunts a wraparound rear window sans C-Pillar. It takes the designing cues from the 1965 vintage model and hence, instead of full-fledged B-Pillars, it has a wide bar with a movable roof section above the front seats. The convertible roof takes approx. 19 seconds to fully open and the rear seats are revealed. Anil Reddi, Director, Porsche India, says: “The 911 is a sports car which has won more races than any other and, in this latest evolution, I believe it has never looked more spectacular. In the 911 Targa, we see the ultimate in driving dynamics come together with stunning design and the very latest in groundbreaking roof technology. The car’s arrival here in India signifies a new chapter in the legendary model’s evolution and I am incredibly proud and excited to welcome it.”

Mechanically, Porsche Targa 911 comes with two engine options. The 911 Targa 4 variant is powered by a 3.4L, 6-cylinder motor which generates a maximum power output of 350bhp and peak torque performance of 390Nm. On the other hand, the range-topping 911 Targa 4S variant in-houses a 3.8L, 6-cylinder engine which pumps out a massive power of 400bhp and highest torque of 440Nm. Both these engines are linked to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission which disburses the power evenly to all the fourr wheels of the sportscar. In addition, the company has introduced a special powerkit on the more powerful 4S variant, through which power output can be further increased by 30bhp. Porsche 911 Targa 4 does a 0-100kmph in just 4.8 seconds, while the 4S is even quicker as it touches the 100kmph from standstill in a mere 4.4 seconds.
