Porsche Cayenne Coupe launch date announced.
It will be launched on 13 December.
It will have V6 and V8 petrol engine options.
A hybrid might launch at a later date.
The Porsche Cayenne Coupe will be launched in India on December 13. The Cayenne Coupe is an SUV with a coupe roofline that was originally made popular by the BMW X6 and is a style that is available from a number of different manufacturers.
The Cayenne Coupe will have the styling of an SUV with a coupe roofline, as mentioned. To compensate for the reduced rear headroom, it has rear seats that are lowered compared to the regular Cayenne SUV.
It, however, shares the same driveline as the Cayenne, with a V6 petrol engine that generates 340 bhp and V8 twin-turbo petrol that generates 550 bhp. A hybrid is a range-topping variant but it will not be available at the time of launch, at least.
Both the V6 and V8 powered Cayenne Coupes get an 8-speed automatic gearbox that feeds power to all four wheels.
The Porsche Cayenne Coupe will cost significantly more than the regular Cayenne in the Indian market, to reflect its positioning as an exclusive product.
