Looks like, Ferrari and Lamborghini aren't the only supercars that seem to have fire related issues, as Porsche has now reportedly halted deliveries of its 911 GT3, after no less than five cars caught fire in recent weeks.
The latest incident occurred on the Wilerstrasse in Switzerland and the car was declared a total loss. Fortunately, the driver made his way out of the car well in time to tell the story. The driver was at the wheel when he heard a strange noise from the engine bay. After stepping out, he noticed oil leaking and smoke coming out of the bay. Not much later, the Porsche caught fire and was eventually doused by the fire department.
Another similar incident occurred in Avellino, Italy, when just a few kilometres run 911 GT3 turned into ashes, after a low oil pressure warning showed up in the display.
According to a report from Axis of Oversteer, Porsche is aware of this issue and has stopped the deliveries of the new 911 GT3, till the issue is completely resolved.
