The model that is now in its third generation rides on Volkswagen Groups’s new MQB platform and is said to have shed over 50 kgs than the out-going model. On the inside, the new TT has received a new cockpit design that features a large multi-purpose display in place of the analogue instrument cluster.
The 2015 Audi TT is expected to be offered with two petrol engines and one diesel engine. The petrol variants will come fitted with a 2.0-litre TFSI engine that is tuned in two states: 230PS/370Nm and 310PS/380Nm. The higher spec petrol engine is called the TTS. The diesel variant on the other hand, will come fitted with a 2.0-litre TDI unit that is rated at 184PS and 380Nm, All engines will come coupled to either a 6-Speed manual transmission or a 6-Speed DSG tranny.
