Bajaj knows how to play with the hearts of us motorcyclists, every new launch in the Pulsar series is matter of national discussions, just talk about the Pulsars once and you have one great discussion panel right away, with great stories too. How can one forget the day Bajaj Came out with the Pulsar 200 NS, it was probably the first time in the history of automobile industry in India when all the automotive sites had enough traffic to hang them completely. The craze for the Pulsar 200 NS was unprecedented.

Now it seems the history is about to repeat itself soon. The Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS after being spotted testing several times has finally been photographed with its production-spec livery by Facebook user Mr. Rakesh Gowda during what appears to be a private showcase. Based almost completely on the 400SS displayed at the Auto Expo 2014, save for the subtly different livery and 200 SS badge on the tailpiece, the smaller sportsbike remains true to the flagship SS 400.

The sharp styling is complemented by twin projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, two-piece rear combination lights and a short silencer endcan which reminds us of the naked sibling’s underbelly unit. The powertrain will be shared with the Pulsar 200 NS. The 199.5 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine produces 23.52 PS (23.18 bhp) at 9,500 rpm and 18.3 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm in its carburetted guise.

Though we are expecting the 200SS to include FI system in its feature list and if this happens, expect a slight bump in engine specifications due to the same.

With the bike coming out in all her glory, even though in a private event, it does signal that the launch is imminent.
Expect the prices to be in line with the price differences that the Duke 200 and the Pulsar 200NS have, meaning, it should be priced around 1.10 - 1.30 lakhs INR Ex-showroom.
