The Land Rover has unveiled the 2014 Range Rover Evoque. The car was first showcased in Geneva Motor Show in March. The exciting thing about the car is the addition of new technologies and connectivity utilities. The new Range Rover Evoque is 11.4% better than the previous versions in fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions. The sale of the car will commence by the end of this year.
Range Rover now with revolutionizing technology has 9 speed automatic transmission, 7 new driver assistance features, added Driveline technologies and more. The car gives an ultra fast response which is labeled by ZF fits for adaptive driving. The new transmission technology called ZF-9HP brings out the reduced emissions, enhanced economy and performance. The engine used in Land Rover 2014 is 4 cylinders, 2.2 diesel which outputs a power of 148bhp or 2.0 petrol engine which gives out a power of 236bhp.
The driver assistance capabilities of the Range Rover are enhanced to the next level by including new features like Park Exit to automatically exit parallel parking bays , closing vehicle sensing, Perpendicular park to centrally position the car on the parking bays, and Reverse Traffic detection to give warnings to the drivers about the incoming traffic. Other capabilities of the car are Traffic Sign Recognition, wade sensing and Lane departure warning.
The new InControlTM of the car has got new features which are InControlTM remote and InControlTM secure. The IncontrolTM triggers the SOS emergency call which informs the emergency condition of the car. A button provided in the overhead console activates this call when the driver presses it. Another button is included which provides technical assistance if needed. The function of Incontrol TM secure is to keep track the robbery of the car. If it is the case then the silent alarm is raised in the operating center where the third party service personnel can help in recovering the car in time.
