Earlier, Renault launched the crossover Captur in India and it is being rumoured that the French automaker is working on a new special edition, the Captur ‘Bose Edition’. Going by its name, it would come with a premium sound system from the house of Bose. Seemingly, the new Edition" is in its final stages of testing and we can expect it to launch by April 2018.
Currently, Renault Captur is offered with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Arkamys tuned sound system with front and rear speakers and 2 tweeters. Being a premium audio brand, Bose would surely help with the marketing of Captur. Earlier, Tata Motors also partnered with Harman Kardon, which is a US based premium audio manufacturer and since then the home grown carmaker been offering premium entertainment system on the Hexa, Tiago, Tigor and Nexon. Now, Renault getting product in its new model would make it more desirable for the buyers.
Mechanically, Renault Captur will be offered with the same set of powertrains - 1.5-litre petrol engine that puts a maximum power of 106 bhp and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that belts out a top power of 110 bhp. Transmission duties are carried by a 5-speed manual transmission for the petrol variant and a 6-speed manual gearbox for the diesel version.
