Renault Duster diesel base variant - RxE Diesel - is being offered at a cash discount of Rs. 52,000 on its original price. The company, with all guns blazing, wants to make the most of the upcoming festive season and hence, it has taken such an unprecedented step to entice as many buyers possible. The aforementioned variant can now be brought at a staggering price of Rs. 8.18 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Renault calls this offer as 'Super September Bonanza' as the offer is valid on the orders booked before September 15, 2014. The buyers will be delivered their vehicles by the end of September, which fall under this special scheme. Furthermore, the company is also offering an additional warranty of 2 years along with free roadside assistance for 4 years. The RxE (D) variant in-houses a 1.5-litre diesel motor which dishes out a power output of 84bhp and peak torque of 200Nm. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox which transfers the power to the front wheels of the compact SUV. However, one must be aware of the fact that this heavy price cut of Rs. 52,000 is only applicable with the aforementioned variant and it is not applicable on other trims and variants.
Renault is also planning to launch the All-Wheel-drive variant of the Duster SUV in the coming month which will be powered by the same 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine. The engine would rake in a top power of 108.5bhp, while coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission that would be transmitting power to all the four wheels of the compact SUV. It is expected to be priced around Rs. 80,000 more than the top-end variant in the Duster line-up currently.
