Renault India registers 144% jump in November 2015

Snapshot: Renault India registers 144% growth in domestic sales in November 2015, led by Renault KWID which has revolutionised the mini car segment in India

Renault India, the Indian arm of French company and one of the fastest growing automotive companies in India, registered a growth of 144% in domestic sales in November 2015. Renault India rises to a monthly domestic sale of 7,819 units in November 2015, compared to 3,201 units in the corresponding month last year.

With the Renault KWID launched in the Indian market, the brand has already received about 70,000 bookings. This product has actually revolutionised the mini car segment in India, with its compact SUV design and the best mileage amongst all the petrol cars, and not to forget the first-in-segment added features. With substantial efforts and developments in product, network and customer engagement, the brand gearing up towards making its products and services more accessible to customers across the country.

Speaking on the company’s sales performance, Mr Sumit Sawhney, Country CEO and Managing Director, Renault India Operations, said, “When we launched Renault KWID in India, we committed to launching a new era and benchmark in the Indian automotive industry. The outstanding feedback and unprecedented response to the car have proved us right. We are grateful for the confidence and trust bestowed in the Renault brand, and are working with a single-minded focus to ramp up production to meet the increasing demand for this revolutionary car. Renault India has considerably increased its sales and service network reach in India, from 14 sales and service facilities in mid-2011 to 190 currently, and will reach 240 facilities by the end of next year.
