Renault India announced that it will increase the prices of its best-selling product – the Kwid hatchback by up to 3 per cent. The revised prices of the model will be effective by April 2019, where the brand says that the reason behind the increase in prices due to the rising input costs.

Recently, Renault launched the 2019 Model year of the Kwid hatchback, though there are no exterior changes and the car gets more added features in it. These new features include driver’s side airbag, ABS with EBD (Anti-Lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), speed alert along with driver and co-driver seat belt reminder that are offered as standard fitments across the model range. The car now also gets a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Mechanically, the Renault Kwid range is offered with a 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre SCe (Smart Control efficiency) powertrains with manual as well as automated manual transmission option. Renault has sold over 275,000 units of the Kwid hatchback in India and the model has been a true game-changer and volume driver for the company in India.
