Renault has quietly introduced a new version of their small SUV, the Duster which is named as the Duster Adventure edition. The all new Renault Duster Adventure Edition is now priced at Rs 9.64 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. The SUV is available in both the diesel avatars with different state of tunes, which are 85PS and 110PS respectively. Only the 110PS all wheel drive version is offered with the Adventure Kit, while the manual and FWD with AMT transmission versions, lack it.
The exterior of the new Adventure edition Duster features chrome accents, the grille and the licensing plate have glossy black finish. Other design elements like body cladding, fog lamps, a compass decal on the D pillar, roof rails and mustard yellow front faux skid plate has also been provided. It also gets ‘Adventure’ branding which screams that it is a new edition Duster. The vehicle features newly designed alloy wheels which are painted in gunmetal colour, the wheel arches are also newly designed. The popular SUV is available in two body paint jobs, Outback Bronze and Slate Grey.
According to Renault the Adventure edition has an ‘Eco mode’ which saves 10% more fuel than the regular Renault Duster. The new Duster also features new seat covers which can be washed easily if they accumulate dirt. The black fabrics on door pads with contrast stitching, a new two-tone steering wheel and floor mats with denim trimmings compliments the new interior.
The Duster gets all its power from the same 1.5-litre K9k dCi diesel engine. The engine is tuned in two versions which produces 84 bhp of power with 200Nm of torque and 108bhp of power with 245Nm torque respectively. The 84bhp version is mated to five-speed manual transmission and available only in 2WD format. The 108bhp version is connected to a six-speed transmission and offered in 4 wheel drive option.
