Renault has launched a special edition of the not so popular hatchback, Pulse in the Indian market. A lot of manufacturer are working on new models to capture the market during these slow months of sales. Renault too silently launched the Pulse with a new name to be known as Voyage edition. Renault listed the new version on their official website along offers to woo the customers.
Looking at the new model, Renault has not changed anything with the new version visually. The car still looks the same from the exterior and does not carries anything special to highlight it from the other regular models. Renault is still offering the current paint schemes with the new version. The changes are done internally and will make the feature list much longer than the regular models.
On the interior, the Pulse Voyage edition gets a new accessory pack. There is new music system which comes from FOCAL. The new edition features a multimedia touch screen that doubles up as navigation system. The new pack comes with a premium of Rs. 58,000.
To make things even better, Renault is offering free insurance on the vehicle for two years plus two years of extended warranty. There is also free roadside assistance for four years to take advantage off.
Mechanically, the car remains untouched. The special edition will carry the same mill from the regular models. The petrol model will carry the three cylinder, 1.2 liter naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power delivery of 76PS and peak torque of 104 Nm, while the diesel engine is the highly popular K9K dCi model, which power many other cars from the Renault stable. The diesel engine churns a maximum of 64PS and 160 Nm of torque. Both petrol and diesel models get 5-speed manual transmission.
Renault has been trying a lot to attract Indian customers and this vehicle, which is deemed as special edition is another example of what the French company is trying. We will bring more updates of the car as we get them! Keep checking out the space.
