A new rendering of the next generation Audi A6 has been released by the AutoBild, which is expected to launch in 2017. Reportedly, the design lines of this Audi A6 could guide the bigger next generation models such as the Audi A7 and Audi A8. The designer’s rendering is heavily inspired from the “Audi Prologue concept”, and emphasized it very well, that a concept car can be portrayed in an upcoming model.
The next generation Audi A6 will feature a wide hexagonal Single frame grille, sleek angular headlights with LED daytime running lights, and a contoured bonnet. The side flows remains simple with strong character lines, while the rear end gets a sleek touch of OLED taillights, moulded spoiler and dual exhaust tips. The external dimension will be same as that of the current model, but offers more room space and luggage capacity.
The model is based on the second generation MLB platform, that means the model is expected to be considerably lighter than the ongoing version. Talking about the power pack, the next-gen A6 is likely to be offered with a revised version of the current four cylinder TSI petrol and TDI diesel engines. Top-ranging variants could get high output 3.0-litre V6 and 4.0-litre V8 turbocharged engines.
We believe that with such a design ideology of transforming a concept car into a model, will definitely make the brand more aggressive with its other German competitors.
