As to the emerging reports, the Kawasaki Estrella 175 (W175) is soon to be launched in Indonesia around the year-end.
It was reported earlier that the retro-style bike is being developed. And now, it has been spotted testing in the Indonesian roads for the first time. The local dealers predict that the bike will be hitting the market in the month of November. As per the news coming, the bike will be available in two variants namely, standard and special edition.
The Estrella 175 looks identical to the Estrella 250. It gets the identical round-shaped headlight, spoke wheels, pea-shooter exhaust, analogue dial and a single seat. The retro classic bike will be powered by a 175 cc DOHC 2 valve single cylinder engine. The spy shots do not reveal much about the power outputs but it is quite obvious that the Estrella 175 will produce less power and torque compared to its elder Estrella 250, which is capable of developing 19 PS of power and 19 Nm of torque. In terms of safety, the bike features a front disc and rear drum unit for the braking purpose.
The bike maker is yet to confirm the name of the bike. It may be named as Kawasaki W175 (after the Kawasaki W800) as the manufacturer’s third retro-style bike in Indonesia.
The price for the Estrella 175 is yet to be disclosed but it is estimated to be priced comparatively lower than the Estrella 250. On the company’s official website, the Estrella 250 is listed with a sticker price of IDR 72,600,000 (INR 3.52 lakhs).
