Snapshot: Mahindra Reva has now put electric power steering into the e2o making it more user friendly

The Reva now gets electric power steering, courtesy Mahindra which has updated the little electric car with this feature. The new version is called e2o T2 Premium, and also gets an additional range of around 40 kilometres, which now endows the E2o with a total range of around 120 kilometres. Power also gets uprated, and you now have all of 25 bhp to play with along with 53Nm of torque. Top speed is rated at 80 kmph. "Convenience of city driving has always been a priority for Mahindra Reva. The e2o is automatic with the smallest turning radius, along with features like the hill-hold, which prevent it from rolling back while on an incline," Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles CEO Chetan Maini said in a statement.

The E2o T2 is also equipped with Reva’s “Quick Charge” facility, which means that an hour of charging can get the battery full, or a 25 kilometre range is possible through a quick 15-minute charge. The e2o T2 is priced at Rs. 5.72 lakh, on-road Delhi. Batteries cost another Rs. 2,999.00 per month over this. This battery scheme is valid for 50,000 kilometres over 5 years of usage. Mahindra Reva is also working on a 4-door version of the car.
