The launch of Revolt RV400 electric motorcycle has been postponed yet again. The e-bike was earlier slated to launch on July 22, 2019, however, it was later rescheduled to August 7, 2019. It has been learnt, that Revolt Motors has once again postponed the launch owing to incessant rains in Mumbai. A new date for the launch will be announced tomorrow by Revolt Motors.
As for online bookings, it is still underway. The electric motorcycle can be booked online for a token amount of Rs 1000 on Revolt Motors official website and Amazon. The Indian based Revolt Motors unveiled its first electric motorcycle last year in June. Interestingly, it is India’s first AI-enabled, LTE-connected electric motorcycle that has been developed over a period of two years. Featuring a 4G SIM, Revolt RV400 e-Bike is claimed to return an impressive ARAI-rated range of 156 km with speed topping out at 85 km/h.

Visually, the Revolt RV400 sports a compact design courtesy the smart positioning of battery and motor that have been placed where an internal combustion engine is usually fitted. Also, the battery and motor on the Revolt RV400 have been imported, whereas the ECU and battery management system have been developed indigenously.
The battery on the electric motorcycle can be removed and charged via a cable and regular 15A plug that will be supplied with the bike. A Revolt Mobile App will also be offered with the e-bike to locate the ‘Mobile Battery Swap Stations’. This app can also be used for tracking the bike and starting the motor.
