Just 5 days ago, we had read something that troubled us and we shared our concerns with you. A circular was issued somewhere around September that went on to say that any non-local motorcycle tour operator would not be allowed to operate in the Ladakh and Zanskar region of Jammu and Kashmir. This was a serious blow to many motorcycle tour operators as they are based out of different places like Himachal, Delhi, Chandigarh etc.

But according to a recent update, a source close to us contacted the Tourism department and it was confirmed by the Assistant Director - Tourism, J&K Government that the ALBRU is a non-recognised union and the circular issued by it is a non-Government circular. So, in a nutshell, it can be said that no one needs to be worried if you are riding a motorcycle to Ladakh this year that is not registered on your or your father's name.
