Royal Enfield is currently busy in upgrading all its motorcycle range with safety pack for the Indian market. After introducing the Thunderbird and Himalayan with ABS, the company is now readying the ABS equipped version of the Bullet 350. Media report claims that the motorcycle would go on sale in the country in February 2019. Some of the Royal Enfield dealers have also started accepting bookings for the Bullet 350 ABS, while deliveries are likely to commence in March 2019.
The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 will be equipped with a dual-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). The company had introduced the rear disc variant of the Bullet 350cc range in December, which were priced at Rs 1.28 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The 500cc Bullet received the ABS upgrade on January 10, 2019, which was priced about Rs 14,000 over the discontinued non-ABS variant. It is expected that the non-ABS model would carry the equal increase in price.
Mechanically, the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 will remain same. It will be powered by the same 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, Twinspark engine that powers the non-ABS model. This engine is capable of producing 19.8bhp of power at 5,250rpm and a peak torque of 28NM at 4,000rpm.
Royal Enfield has already introduced the ABS equipped version of most of its motorcycles. The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500X ABS is priced at Rs 2.13 lakh, while the 350X and standard 350 models cost Rs 1.54 lakh. The company's Classic 350 Redditch 350 was launched last month at Rs 1.79 lakh. The brand's most powerful motorcycles - Continental GT 650 and Interceptor INT 650 are equipped with dual-channel ABS as standard.
