- BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350 scheduled for a major update.
- It will get alloy wheels as an option on two paint schemes.
- It also gets a number of new paint options.
- It will get fuel injection as well.
The BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350 range will get alloy wheels as an option right from the showroom. This is part of the BS Vl update that the range will receive. The Classic 350 will also receive new paint schemes as part of the update.
The new emission norms have forced Royal Enfield to update its 350 cc and 500 cc ranges. The old engine architecture will not meet the new emission norms and as such will get fuel injection as part of the update. The 500 cc engine will be discontinued and there are also rumors that the 350 cc engine will be updated to a 400cc one along the lines of the Himalayan SOHC unit.
The Classic 350 will receive a configurator like the current one but the new paint schemes have among them two options which will allow alloy wheels to be fitted right from the factory. This also means that for the first time, the Classic range will receive tubeless tyres as standard fitment.
The Classic 350 range will get a new Gunmetal Grey version, a Stealth Black version, and a Chrome version. Of these two, the former two will get alloy wheels as an option. We expect the new Classic range to launch in the first quarter of 2020 in time for the implementation of the BS Vl norms. At this point, the 500 cc range will be discontinued as well. The Classic 350 competes with the likes of the Benelli Imperiale 400 and the Bajaj Dominar 400 in the Indian market.
