Royal Enfield Designer Pierre Terblanche Part ways with Company

Pierre Terblanche- one of the most well-known motorcycle designers in the world has quit his position from Royal Enfield. In late 2014, The Company hired Pierre to join as director of design to establish itself as a global brand. No official comment has been issued by the Company regarding reasons for his sudden departure.

Pierre Terblanche can be credited with some of the most beautiful modern-day motorcycles that we've come across-including his first Confederate design, the X132 Hellcat Speedster. Most of his best work was done with Ducati, where he designed the Multistrada, Hypermotard, Supermono, ST3, MH900e, 749/999 and Sport Classics.


Terblanche was born in the year 1956 in South Africa. After moving to Germany, he started working with Volkswagen design under the legendary motorcycle designer- Massimo Tamburini. When Cagiva decided to sell Ducati, he followed the company before parting his ways in 2007. He also worked with Piaggio on the Moto Guzzi and many other brands and then finally with Confederate design, where he designed the most famous X132 hellcat Speedster.
