Royal Enfield Electra was a decent seller and that did well especially in rural markets as the bike was one of the most affordable Royal Enfield motorcycles. Having launched back in the year 1995, it remained in production for two years and then was discontinued in 1997. It was again brought back to production after Mr. Siddhartha Lal joined the firm as CEO. The bike helped the brand to expand its further reach by serving all categories of customers. The strategy worked well and the company made good profit and growth in the following years.
