Eicher Motors - the parent company of the iconic brand, Royal Enfield - released its sales figures for the month of June 2014 where it reported a growth of 83% for its motorcycle division in the month of June. Almost every two-wheeler manufacturer has reported a positive growth in the month of June 2014, and Royal Enfield is riding high in the category. Blame it on the aggressive marketing of the company or on the new models being rolled out from time to time, Royal Enfield is leaving no stone unturned to encash the image it enjoys in the Indian market.

Royal Enfield is proving to be the most money making proposition among all the subsidiaries Eicher Motors has as the parent company recently said out loud that it will be investing Rs 600 crores in CY 2014-15 for the upliftment of the brand. A new facility at Oragadam is almost ready to meet the market's demand.

Out of the current sales figures, the exports grew by a rate of 60% as it sold  784 units this June against 491 units exported last June.
