Sachin Tendulkar, the legendary cricketer, presented BMW cars to the troika of PV Sindhu, Sakshi Malik and Dipa Karmakar. In addition, Pullela Gopichand, Chief National Coach for the Indian Badminton team, was also presented a BMW. Just so you know, PV Sindhu had won the silver medal in the women's single event in badmintion in the recently concluded 2016 Rio Olympics. Sakshi Malik won the bronze medal in Women's 58kg category event in Freestyle Wrestling, while Dipa Karmakar missed out on the medal in the Vault finals of Women's Gymnastics and was at the fourth spot.
Mr. Punnaiah Choudary, Hon' Secretary, Badminton Association of India (BAI), had recently announced this, while Mr. Chamudeswarnath, President, Hyderabad Badminton Association, sponsored the cars.
