Even though the Indian economy is an extremely unscrupulous state, Audi seems to have no effect of it and managed to record a 21% increase in sales for the month of August 2013. Not only that, the company has recorded an increase in sales from the month of January to August 2013, they sold approximately 6426 units when compared to last year’s value of 5406 vehicles, so that is a 19% increase in the 8 month’s parallel figure. As for last month the brand sold 875 cars which is also an increase when matched with last year’s 726 units of the August month, hence the 21% increase.
Joe King, the head of Audi India quoted that, the brand has uninterruptedly performed well in the first 8 months of 2013, and they look forward to sustain the motion going headfirst into the difficult pecuniary times that are yet to come. The company is exceedingly assured that their sensational automobiles and well-organized network will enable them to meet the targets in spite of the contemporary hostile economic gushes.
As confirmed by Audi India, Joe King has newly taken over as Audi India’s head with the preceding Managing Director, Michael Persche taking the part of head of business management and network strategy, international level, at AUDI AG. Before Mr. King came to India and took over as head, he was posted in Audi Australia, when he played a very important role in the Controlling team of Audi Australia Pty Limited. As part of Audi’s aggressive expansion, they launched the Q3 S edition and inaugurated the Audi Club India, which is the first club dedicated to the Audi owners. Apart from these two ‘expansion strategies’ the company also opened its 3rd showroom in Delhi in the month of August 2013. The company is offering a total of 15 cars to the Indian consumers and will be available in all the dealerships in the country.
