Shelby the American muscle car makerhas announced that their flagship GT350 muscle car will be decommissioned this year. But the orders are still being taken in for 2012 to 2014 GT350s. Hence the production will end on 1st of January 2014. The company will still be producing the GTS, Super Snake GT500, Raptor trucks and Shelby 1000.
The GT350 can be proclaimed as one of the best muscle cars to burn rubber in this century. The president of Shelby American Mr. John Luft said that the GT350 is one of the most distinguished, iconic muscle cars in the world today. He also stated that, when the company disclosed the most up-to-date version of the GT350, they promised that the car would be manufactured for a very little time span, only to preserve its value and collectability.
The actual and original GT350s were produced from 1965 to 1967, ever since those early times the GT350s have become the most loved and sought-after Mustangs on the planet. Built on exactly the same platform the 2012-2014 GT350s is also expected to have the equivalent memorable destiny. From 2011, the time when the first refreshed GT350 rolled out of the assembly line, it was offered in 3 different modifications, the naturally aspirated 5.0 liter V8 with 440 HP, a 525 HP V8 with warranty and a 624 HP V8 without warranty.
The end of the year 2013 will mark the finale of a grand contemporary muscle car. The Shelby American wants the people to keep in mind, one of the darling aphorisms of the late-great Carroll Shelby, it goes something like this, “our favorite car is the next one we build”. So those autos are none other than the cars currently in production the Raptor and the Super Snake GT500.
