Honda is constantly upgrading and commencing its products according to people’s demands, the Japanese car maker will be launching 4 new cars in the Indian market, like, the new City, next generation Jazz, a compact SUV and the Brio based MPV. Finally Honda has revealed the sketch of the MPV (multi purpose vehicle) which is designed on the Brio platform. The new MPV is going to be named Honda LMPV Concept, the name was disclosed at the Mid Year Gathering, which was organized by HPM (Honda Prospect Motor) in Jakarta, Indonesia. The New Concept is expected to make its first appearance in the International Motor Show 2013 which will be held in Indonesia on 19 September 2013.
This LMPV Concept is being particularly designed for the Asian car markets where the demand for MPV is quite high. This MPV creation will be Honda’s first step into the world of MPVs segment , this car in India will go against the likes of, the new Chevrolet Enjoy, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Toyota Innova and many more MPVs which are currently in the Indian market. The Concept has all the features a standard Honda will posses, this ensures greater driving comfort, good level of safety, space and cool new looks. The Concept will have a capacity of 7 seats, in three lanes of configuration, though not an official statement the car is expected to be powered by an extremely fuel efficient 1.5 liter petrol engine.
The LMPV will be launched in India within the year 2014, after the unveiling of Jazz. It has been said that the LMPV will make its first Indian appearance in the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, and a diesel version of the MPV is already in research and development stage and can be expected to reach India very soon.
