The Czech luxury car manufacturer Skoda, confirmed that the Octavia will be re-launched in India very soon. The company gave a sneak peak of the car in its Facebook page quoting that “the legend is imminent”. Numerous gossips have authenticated that the new Octavia will batter the Indian borders on the 9th of August 2013. But rumor has it that the car will be only available in India, during the festival of Dushera or Diwali.
Built of VW’s (Volkswagen) innovative MQB (Modularer Querbaukasten) or Modular Transverse Matrix Platform in plain English. The Octavia will be bigger than the existing Laura. As known to many, the Laura will be discontinued once the Octavia has been unveiled. The new Octavia will have top of the line interior and upholstery. Since it will be bigger than before, the comfort level of the front and rear seats will be dramatically increased.
Not just with comfort, the engineers have also taken the safety part into consideration. The new sedan will get numerous safety features such as, automatic braking system, a total of nine airbags, adaptive cruise control, lane assistance, traffic sign recognition, light assistance and many more features will be included. This inclusion of features will make the Octavia an outstanding merchandise that is worth buying.
The Octavia will be powered by a 1.8 liter petrol and 2.0 liter diesel block. Skoda may also launch a 1.4 liter turbo locomotive that is already present in the VW Jetta, however this was not officially confirmed by the company. If it does go into production, it will be fixed to the base variant of the Octavia. There is also another prediction that, Skoda may launch an automatic version as well. There a many speculations on what may be the end product that is released in India.
