The Czech automaker Skoda has launched the ‘MySkoda’ App which would provide a single window interface between the brand and its customers. The app is available for both iPhones and Android phones, however it is not yet available for users having a Windows phone.
This app launch is a part of Skoda’s Rs 100cr investment in India, and the company expects that it will improve its ownership experience as well has help to digitize the entire ownership experience. The app would let owners to connect with the company’s digital ecosystem as well as help the car owners to view the service history of their cars. Additionally, the app will allow Skoda customers to know the cost of their car’s various parts and will also provide the estimated servicing expense.
The app can be used for booking an appointment for servicing of Skoda cars. It will also prove useful in locating a dealer and connecting to the company’s customer care team.
Other benefits of the mobile app includes, monitoring the user’s car servicing cycle, warranty, insurance policy and roadside assistance expiry dates. Additionally users can also put up their personal details and all sorts of car related documents. Any update which is made through the app gets registered in the company’s database. Skoda India is also looking for improving its overall ownership experience by modernizing its dealership networks and by introducing customer initiatives as a part of this transformation.
The fuel cost calculator found in the app, lets the owner keep track of all fuel expenses. All a customer needs to do is just add the amount spent, the quantity of fuel and enter the date the car was fuelled. The app will then keep up a log of the cost and mileage by calculating everything automatically.
Previously brands like Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai had also launched apps similar to the ‘MySkoda’ app. Now with this app Skoda is looking to improve its relations with customers.
