Skoda India will announce a revised pricing across its entire model range. With other automaker’s increasing price, Skoda has also decided to increase and it will vary from 2 to 3% across the entire product portfolio. The new prices effective from 1st January 2016, are in line with increasing input cost and changing market conditions. The price increase will translate into an increase of approximately INR 14,000 to INR 50,000 depending on the model and the variants.
Currently, The models of the Skoda Auto India in India range from the Rapid starting at Rs 7.56 lakh to Skoda’s Superb, the premium sedan pricing Rs 26.28 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Already, various auto majors like Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, Hyundai Motor India, and German luxury car makers Mercedes-Benz and BMW have also announced a hike in prices of their vehicles across models from January to offset rising input costs.
It seems the automakers making such year-end announcements will definitely, help them in clearing the inventories left after heavy festive-season discounts on their vehicles.
