The Czech carmaker Skoda is reportedly planning to launch its next vehicle, the Black Edition of Skoda Octavia in January 2017. According to reports, the company will introduce the Black Edition with Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) and a few cosmetic changes.
The Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) provides the driver a better driving experience by tweaking the steering wheel and suspension setup according to the selected driving modes. When you push a button, more oil flows into the suspension and helps it to adapt the driver’s driving style. With the push of the button, the steering also becomes more responsive with less body roll and better brakes.
The new sedan also gets a range of sportier add-ons at the outside. True to its name - Black Edition - the car sports many black body parts. The roof, ORVM covers, trunk lid spoiler and front grille are all finished in black. The Skoda also sports a brilliant looking 17-inch Teron black alloy wheels that enhance its looks even further.
The cabin also carries forward the black theme, with all black upholstery and sporty looking seats. In addition to the black interiors, the Octavia also gets door sill plates with the Black Edition badging. Skoda will also equip the Octavia with airbags for better passenger safety.
In the engine department, the special edition Octavia retains the same engine options as the regular Octavia. It will have three engine options - 1.4 TSI and 1.8 TSI petrol engines and 2.0 TDI diesel engine. All these engines are brilliant in terms of performance and fun to drive, so these would be any driving enthusiast’s first choice.
The Czech manufacturer has recently unveiled a newer facelifted version of the Octavia for global markets with newly designed headlamps. The facelifted version is expected to hit Indian shores by the end of 2017 or early 2018.
