Skoda, as part of the INDIA 2.0 project, is working on a compact SUV exclusively for the Indian market. After releasing the interior sketches, now Skoda has revealed the official sketches of Skoda Vision IN exterior ahead of its world premiere at the 2020 Auto Expo on February 5 in Greater Noida. Being based on the MQB A0 IN variant of the Modular Transverse Matrix, the production of Skoda Vision IN will start in 2020.
The exterior sketches provide the first impression of the styling of the SUV. The Skoda Vision IN will flaunt a broad bonnet with a big Skoda signature front grille in solid ribs shape. It will boast of very flat split headlamps which integrate directly with the grille. The front apron will comprise large side air intakes and an aluminum-made huge front spoiler.
The second sketch which details the rear end of Skoda Vision IN shows a distinctive and sharply contoured three-dimensional tail-lamp cluster. There is an extra horizontal light strip that connects the reflectors. The centre houses the Skoda badging an aluminum diffuser is integrated into the rear apron underneath.
Skoda is in-charged to lead the activities of the Volkswagen Group brands on the Indian sub-continent. A lot of cross-brand Skoda and Volkswagen models are expected to be launched in the near future in India, especially focused on the Indian buyers and their needs.
