Smaller Ducati Multistrada spied for the first time
Snapshot: Once the production version is launched it will go against motorcycles like the Kawasaki Versys 750 and Triumph Tiger XC.
A lot of premium brands are shifting towards smaller capacity motorcycles. Ducati has already launched the Scrambler Sixty-2 which caters a large number of buyers and looks like the Italian brand is going by the same theme with its famous Multistrada series. A new smaller version of the Multistrada has been caught getting tested for the very first time in Europe.
However, the spied photograph reveal that the new Ducati Multistrada shares the same trellis frame from the bigger 1200cc Multistrada. The spy shot also shows the absence of single-sided swingarm and new lowered down seating position on the new Multistrada. We expect the Multistrada to house the 802cc L-Twin engine as seen on the Scrambler 800. The Italian brand has always made sure to equip its motorcycles with the best of electronics and hence the new Multistrada will not be an exception in any case.
Once the production version is launched it will go against motorcycles like the Kawasaki Versys 750 and Triumph Tiger XC. We expect it should touch down the price tag of Rs 11 Lakh. Stay tuned as Bikeportal brings you more updates on the same.
