Honda Cars today launched a special 'anniversary edition' of its first compact-sedan Amaze to mark the completion of its one year in the Indian market. The anniversary edition comes on VX and S variants in both diesel and petrol at an additional price of around Rs 71000, over these variants.

Announcing the ‘Anniversary edition’, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd said, “Honda Amaze has been a game changer in its segment and has enabled HCIL to reach out to so many new customers, bringing them into the Honda fold. We are delighted to introduce the new ‘Anniversary edition’ amongst customers to celebrate its success. It is Honda’s constant endeavor to provide freshness to our products and create excitement in the market. We are confident that the differentiated and youthful look of the car will have greater appeal to our customers.”

The Amaze has been a big hit for Honda with sales of over 80,000 units within its first year in the market.  It has been one of the most successful products from Honda's stable in India, largely thanks to Honda's first diesel engine. The new edition has several cosmetic upgrades without any mechanical change to its powertrain options.

The company has improved the aesthetics of Amaze with new under-spoiler installed on front and rear bumpers along with running board both sides. There's also a trunk spoiler and sun visors along with chrome exhaust tip to improve the looks further. The interiors are refreshed with new seat upholstery and faux wooden finish on dashboard and over a few more elements.
