Christmas is a festival of joy, love and kindness and it's also the festival of color Red. Everything around you from gifts to clothes to decoration is painted in Red. And so, it's no surprise that Porsche chose the color red to celebrate the Christmas spirit, in its own way. What way it is, you may ask? Well, Porsche has unveiled a special Christmas edition Panamera Turbo Executive to celebrate the spirit of Christmas.
The special edition has been pampered by Porsche Exclusive with the Panamera Turbo as the base model. Porsche has added a Carmine Red paint to the exterior and an optional Sport Design package finished in black to give the exterior a sporty and joyous look. As for the interiors, the theme continues on the inside too with an extensive use of black leather combined with red accents on dashboard, door panels and lower section of the center console.
Basically, the cabin of the Christmas Panamera is a 'merrier' place to be in. To add to the charm, you will also get a two-tone key fob color-coordinated with the car's exterior and interior finish. The rear seat passengers will get an optional rear seat entertainment system with dual 10.1-inch detachable displays mounted on the backrest of the front seats. Chances are that the detachable screens will also house two built-in folding tables at an additional cost.
Porsche unveiled the Panamera Executive in four grades - 4, 4S, 4E Hybrid and Turbo last month at the Los Angeles Auto show. Porsche chose the latter to be part of the Christmas celebrations. Since it's the Executive version that gets the treat, the buyers get more legroom for rear passengers thanks to the 150 mm longer wheelbase over the regular Panamera.
In fact, Porsche has claimed that they designed the car to be a “chauffeur saloon". Also, since it's specifically the Turbo model that enjoys the festivities, the car gets more goodies as standard compared to less powerful versions, like the soft-close doors, rear-axle steering, ambient lighting, four-zone climate control, and full-LED headlights with the proprietary Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS). These features are also available on the 4S variant, but that doesn't get the Red shade for the festival.
So how much the Christmas Edition Panamera Turbo Executive will cost you? In the United States, the standard Porsche Panamera Turbo Executive starts at $160,000. You will have to add $3,300 for the Carmine Red paint and the SportDesign package will set you back an additional $5,655. The rear seat entertainment system will cost you $2,630, while the center console is available for $3,170.
But that's just the tip of the iceberg as far as available optional equipments are concerned. You can take the value all the way up to $200,000 mark by adding tons of goodies to the kit. The more powerful Turbo S version will be even pricier, and the range-topping Sport Turismo wagon is expected to command a premium over its sedan equivalent.
