Quite simply one of the most highly anticipated motorcycles of recent times for the Indian market, the Royal Enfield Himalayan has become a regular for on road testing before the expected launch at Himalayan Odyssey, an annual riding event of Royal Enfield in the Himalayan region of the country. The bike is expected to be hugely based on the Continental GT flatform and as we have already discussed it means that the Himalayan would surely benfit with great handling and riding dynamics.
For the more adventure centric rides, the Himalayan will arrive with higher one piece handlebars for long ride comforts. The latest set of the spy shots provide a more clearer picture of the Himalayan, with the front almost entirely donated by the Continental GT, however, the rubber covered front forks do hint towards a longer suspension travel. The tank panel however, as we have already discussed is both higher and broader than the one on the GT meaning it would surpass the laters fuel tank capacity by a fair margin.
The expected all new 410cc engine should be good enough for a power output around 25-28BHP and around 35-40NM torque while it should have more revs to play with as compared to the older 350cc UCE engines. We are expecting the Himalayan to cost around 1.8-1.9 Lakhs Ex-Showroom, Delhi.
Stay with us as we bring your more updates regarding the same!!
